The pillow notebook / buying guide

How high should your pillow be?

Height is a relationship between you, your pillow and your mattress.

What matters most?

The same pillow can feel high to one sleeper and low to another. Consider your body, usual sleeping position and mattress together. Do not judge height using an isolated centimeter measurement alone.

How do these three designs differ?

Check whether adjustment means removable fill, removable layers or a separate component. These are different systems. Our source materials describe a separate roll for Melara Max but do not establish adjustable fill for Derila Ergo or VelaSleep.

What should you compare before buying?

Record your current pillow’s shape and what you want to change: a lower center, more room around the shoulder, a removable cover or a separate support component. This turns a vague search for the “best pillow” into a shortlist of specific features.

How do you compare seller claims?

Separate visible design details from claims about outcomes. Our product guides identify information supplied by each seller and explain what has not been established. We do not use customer stories as a substitute for independent testing.

What is the next step?

Open the review for the design closest to your preferences, then check the price and return policy. If a specification is missing, ask the seller before ordering rather than filling the gap with an assumption.
